Risk vs. Reward – Defenders can now make aggressive or conservative tackles in the open field, with proximity cones showing the effective range of each. I'm a software engineer and perfectionist, so this stuff really gets on my nerves. I wish they put a little more effort into QA, but at least the final score is always correct, so the outcome of the game won't really be affected.
- The play selection screen often freezes, keeping you from selecting the play. The fix for this is pausing the game and returning. It happens about once every 4 plays.
- On any level (from Pro on up) you can't throw screens to running backs. Defensive linemen will reach you every time before the icon to throw to the RB is available.
- The game architected very poorly and as a result lags considerably on Xbox 360.
- The menus are deep and, although decent, stuff is hard to find
- Despite marketing to the contrary, the announcers are still pretty annoying
There are a lot of great games out there, and this most certainly is NOT one of them
