How do I contact ResQstick Technical Support? Visit the ResQstick.com product website for contact information.
Will ResQstick work if my computer screen is completely black? No. That probably means the PC isn't getting electricity or the screen or the motherboard is burned out.
Does ResQstick need an Internet connection? Yes, but only for a moment. ResQstick must go online briefly to confirm that the activation code (serial number) entered is genuine. This registers your product & makes you eligible for free upgrades.
How long should I wait for the recovery wizard to start? If it doesn't proceed to the recovery interface in 5 minutes or less then contact Technical Support. If we can't make ResQstick boot your PC then we'll refund your money immediately... no need to return the product.

I consider myself to be fairly technical. I've worked with computers most of my life and am very comfortable mucking with their innards.
But... who wants to when you don't have to?
I have an old Dell Lattitude that I used for quite some time. It has a lot of personal stuff, including some presentations I've created over time for family events.
Recently I wanted to show one of my children her presentation but the old Dell wouldn't boot.

I called B*st B*y and was told that it would be at least $200 to look at it. So I started looking for sleeves for a hard drive that I could use to:
1. Take the laptop apart
2. Take the little hard drive out
3. Hope that the fairly ancient drive would work in the new sleeve
4. Pray pray pray ...

Seems like a lot of work, right? Well, I came across ResQstick during my search and decided to take a chance.

It just worked.. I have all my memories and didn't have to do any dismantling of an old laptop.

Okay, this is the slickest thing I’ve come across in a while! I had an old IBM ThinkPad that had quit booting up many years ago. I didn’t have the heart to throw it out and it had some files on it that I had hoped that I could retrieve but never did. When I found ResQstick, I thought I would give it a shot. And, I’m glad I did. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow. It is incredibly easy to use and it found every file I was looking for. The USB ports were too close together on my ThinkPad to insert them both at the same time so I opted to upload directly to my Dropbox. Worked just like the instructions said it would. I had forgotten how long it takes these old computers to boot up, so I was a little impatient at the beginning until I remembered how much slower the old technology was.

ResQstick is awesome! It gave me back these documents and photos that I thought were irretrievable. Great product!

I don't normally leave reviews but this one is worth it. Recently my computer died and I thought I had lost decades worth of photos. I was devastated. We tried a bunch of different tricks and nothing worked. Even my cousin the IT whiz told me I was screwed. I bought some software and couldn't figure it out. Then I bought this and within a couple of hours I had restored all my photos. I really can't be thankful enough. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

I bought this product and I was eager to recover files from my computer. Well, everything was fine until the end of the process. Instead of letting you just transfer your files to a thumb drive they INSIST that you connect to the internet,(which opens up your files to them), and my wifi wasn't picked up. So, I hooked up the wireless adapter included with the product and THAT wasn't picked up. The message was basically "connect to the internet or forget it". I called the customer service number and got Voicemail. I won't hold my breath. Update- 5 days later and customer service NEVER contacted me. Update- weeks later and have never talked to customer service, yet Amazon continues to sell this product. I know where I stand with them now.

Resqstick worked like a charm. We didn't have to annoy my brother-law to come over retrieve our files. We literally just stuck resqstick in and boom. I'm now looking at pictures of my kids that I haven't seen in years and listening to MP3s I didn't even remember I had. How did I let these memories get so lost in the first place? At least I didn't have to pay hundreds or thousands to get them back. Or bug my brother in law to come over. I would highly recommend this product to anybody who has files sitting on a computer somewhere that won't start. It works wonders.
